The DT Swiss A 1800 SPLINE® rear wheel combines an aerodynamically optimised aluminium rim with reliable hub technology and high-quality aero spokes. Developed for sporty use on the road, the road bike wheel offers a balanced combination of aerodynamics, stability and comfort. With a 30 mm rim depth and 22 mm inner rim width, it is suitable for fast-paced training rides as well as for longer road bike tours.

The aerodynamically shaped aluminium rim reduces air resistance and supports efficient power transfer at high speeds. The rim profile is complemented by DT aero comp® wide straightpull spokes, which combine high stability with aerodynamic properties. Thanks to the tubeless-ready construction with a hooked profile, the wheel can be ridden with both classic folding tyres and tubes as well as with compatible tubeless tyres.

At the centre works the proven DT Swiss 370 hub. The Ratchet LN freehub system with 36 teeth ensures reliable engagement and direct transmission of the drive power. The robust construction is designed for high durability and easy maintenance.With its aerodynamic rim shape, proven DT Swiss hub technology and tubeless compatibility, the A 1800 SPLINE is an excellent choice for road cyclists who value speed, reliability and everyday practicality.

Tip:
The rear hub is compatible with the optional DT Swiss TRACKR SPEED SPLINE® speed sensor, which enables precise speed recording independently of the GPS signal.


Technologies:

• AERO+:
The symbiosis of air resistance, handling and efficiency. – The optimisation of the wheel aerodynamics by DT Swiss in cooperation with SWISS SIDE reduces rotational and air resistance for low-friction acceleration and controlled steering behaviour in crosswinds. In combination with a larger inner rim dimension for wider tyres, rolling resistance is also reduced. Traction and comfort are enhanced by the wide contact patch.

• RATCHET LN:
The Ratchet LN freehub system is the entry into the world of high-quality ratchet systems from DT Swiss and raises the items from the lower price segment to a new level. In the reliable 370 hub, the Ratchet LN freehub replaces the classic 3-pawl freehub system. It uses the same internal parts as the ratchet system. The difference between the two systems is that the freehub system is sealed via a sealing ring on the freehub body. This means that older ratchet systems with Ratchet LN can also be converted to a DT Swiss Ratchet system.

• TUBELESS:
All DT Swiss wheels are tubeless ready. The profiles of the DT Swiss rims are specially designed for tubeless use. The rim profile makes it easier to fit the right tyre and ensures a perfect fit. The tubeless system of the rim consists of DT Swiss tubeless ready tape for sealing and a DT Swiss tubeless valve in a length that complies with the rim. When using tubeless ready tyres, a compatible sealant must be used. However, it is also possible to use a conventional combination of tyre and inner tube.

• BEARINGS:
Having learned from years of experience, DT Swiss only uses durable cartridge bearings without bearing play adjustment. DT Swiss hubs are designed to have the optimum axial and radial bearing play when they are properly installed. The correct preload of the bearings to compensate for the clamping force of the wheel mounting system is the basis for a play-free hub with minimum friction.
