Schwalbe TACKY CHAN GRAVITY PRO Radial MTB Folding Tyre ULTRA SOFT

With the TACKY CHAN, Schwalbe has designed a mountain bike tyre for uncompromising downhill and enduro use. Developed under competition conditions and tested in international racing, the tyre is aimed at anyone looking for controllable handling and reliable traction on technically demanding tracks. Its tread pattern is designed for precise line selection, high cornering grip and stable braking traction.

In the tread design, Schwalbe's developers rely on a lug arrangement optimised for the radial carcass. A 2-2 distribution of the tread blocks is intended to offer particularly controlled handling, while a closed transition area between the centre and shoulder lugs is intended to enable smoother steering and improved traction when braking.

Schwalbe's ULTRA SOFT Compound is designed for maximum grip and high damping properties and is particularly suitable for demanding downhill and enduro use on changing and wet surfaces.

The rubber compound is complemented by the GRAVITY PRO construction in combination with a radial carcass. Originally developed for use in the Downhill World Cup, the radial carcass offers an enlarged contact surface and improved adaptation to the ground. This is intended to support grip, damping and control on demanding routes, while the overall construction is designed for high loads in gravity use.
