Whether on alpine trails or challenging tours in low mountain ranges, on a trail bike or light-assist e-MTB, on the front or rear wheel: The Schwalbe ROMY is designed as a versatile mountain bike tyre for a wide range of applications. Developed for anyone looking for a tyre that works reliably and is fun to ride on different tracks and surfaces.

As a trail and all-mountain tyre with gravity genes, the ROMY combines a moderate weight with balanced riding characteristics. At the same time, it should offer sufficient reserves for more demanding trails.

In the tread design, Schwalbe's product developers rely on pronounced cornering edges for stable cornering grip and a more closely spaced centre tread for good rolling behaviour and high durability. The result is a balanced overall profile that combines control and versatility. The tyre can be used on both the front and rear wheel.

Schwalbe's SOFT compound is used in this version. The rubber compound is designed for a balance of grip, damping and durability and is suitable for versatile use from trail and all-mountain laps to more demanding enduro passages.

The rubber compound is complemented by the TRAIL PRO construction in combination with a radial carcass. With the radial carcass, the carcass threads run radially to the direction of travel. This allows the tyre to adapt more flexibly to the surface and create a larger contact area. A fabric-reinforced APEX protective insert is designed to provide additional stability and improved puncture protection for trail and all-mountain use.
